The 2024 Lea County Special Rodeo will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024, in the Jake McClure arena at the Lea County Fairgrounds at 7:00 pm
The rodeo is open to children and young adults 3-21 years old who are enrolled in school and receive special education services.
Each rodeo contestant will be paired with a cowboy/cowgirl that will assist them in participating in the rodeo events.
Prior to the rodeo, at 5:30 pm, the contest-ant and their family will be treated to a delicious meal provided by Lea County Sheriff’s Posse.
In addition to the rodeo, the contestants, along with 1 sibling/child, are invited to the Wright’s Amusement Carnival at the Lea County Fairgrounds, Saturday, August 5th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm to enjoy carnival rides and other fun activities.
